The Covalent brand identity balances playful minimalism with an understated technical quality, illustrating the product’s complexity without alienating its open-source community.
This was partly achieved through the creation of ‘Covalent blue’, a contemporary and playful shade of a colour synonymous with technology.
The colour was then extended into a wider, more flexible, palette and pared with a technical-looking but playful typeface, Neue Machina, and a logo and wider visual language which incorporates balanced geometric shapes to convey friendliness, technical construction, cubits, and data.
